StepsPal Terms of Use
The app
StepsPal is an iOS app published by Humuli that suggests walks, records them, and lets you collect photographs and compare progress with friends. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use it.
Not medical advice
StepsPal is a general fitness and activity app. It is not a medical device and nothing in it is medical advice. Step counts, distances, pace and calorie-adjacent figures are estimates. Talk to a doctor before changing how much you exercise, and stop if something hurts.
Walking safely
StepsPal suggests places and draws routes. It does not know about traffic, roadworks, whether somewhere is safe after dark, or whether a shop is actually open. Use your own judgement. Pay attention to your surroundings rather than to your phone.
Subscriptions
- StepsPal Pro is offered as an auto-renewing subscription, billed weekly or yearly through your Apple ID.
- Payment is charged on confirmation of purchase.
- It renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and is charged within 24 hours of the end of that period.
- Manage or cancel in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your device. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
- Where a free trial is offered, any unused part is forfeited if you buy a subscription during it.
- Prices are shown in the app before purchase and may vary by region.
Purchases are processed by Apple, and refunds are handled by Apple under their policies — we cannot issue them. Requests go through reportaproblem.apple.com.
Your content
Photographs you take remain yours. By collecting one you allow us to send the cut-out subject to be identified, as described in the privacy policy. Do not photograph anything you have no right to, and do not use the app to harass anyone.
Friends and groups
Sharing your progress is entirely optional. Only share with people you know, and be aware that anyone with a group's code can join it. You can leave at any time.
Fair use
Do not attempt to falsify step data, reverse-engineer the app, resell access, or use it in a way that interferes with anyone else's. We may suspend accounts that do.
Availability
Some features need an internet connection and may be unavailable during maintenance or outages. We may change or discontinue features. If we discontinue a paid feature, we will say so in advance.
Liability
StepsPal is provided "as is" to the fullest extent the law allows. We are not liable for injury, loss or damage arising from using it, or from acting on a suggestion it made. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be dated above and surfaced in the app. Continuing to use StepsPal after that means you accept them.
