StepsPal

Your step goal, planned into the gaps in your actual day — and into the errands you already needed to run.

Every other step app counts what you already did. StepsPal reads the free gaps in your calendar, the errands sitting in your reminders and how fast you walk, then tells you one thing to do next: the pharmacy run at 2:15 because you are free until 3, rather than thirty minutes of walking with no reason attached.

What it does

What stays on your phone

Your calendar event titles and the text of your reminders are read on the device and never leave it. StepsPal sends a category — "pharmacy", "café" — and the times you are free. It never sends what the appointment was called or what the reminder said.

Your location is used on the device to find walkable places and to draw your route. It is never sent to us. Your step counts are shared only once you add a friend, and only as a daily total against your goal. The full detail is in the privacy policy.
